MYNIC is the only body that
administers the .my top level country domain
name for Malaysia. Therefore, anyone who wants to register this .my domain name
can do so only with MYNIC.
How do you go about registering
.my domain names?
Domain name applications
for .edu.my, .gov.my and .mil.my have to be submitted online via MYNIC's online
system. Applications submitted via e-mail will not be entertained.
Applications for .com.my,
.net.my and .org.my and .name.my domain names are to be done through MYNIC's
officially appointed partners, called .

This is a crucial document. When you submit the Domain Name Registration Form
to MYNIC, you are confirming that you have read, understood and accepted all
the terms and conditions in this agreement.

3.
Make sure have met all pre-requisites
Before you register, you
must have done the following:
- have a live Internet
link.
- set up your primary
name server and configured it for the domain name to be registered.

- set up your secondary
name server and configured it for the domain name to be registered.

- identified an Administrative
Contact. Only the Contact Persons listed in your Registration form
will receive e-mail notification from MYNIC when the registration is completed.
- identified a Technical
Contact. Only the contact persons listed in your Registration form
will receive e-mail notification from MYNIC when the registration is completed.
- identified a Billing
Contact.
- have ready any supporting
documents required.
4.
Make your registration application.
You may register
for .edu.my, .gov.my and .mil.my domain names using only the online Register
New Domain Name form. For an easy-to-follow flowchart of

Applications for.com.my,
.net.my, .org.my and .name.my domain names are to be done through a Reseller.

Please make sure that
you fill in all information accurately. Any form filled in incorrectly or
inadequately could cause your application to be rejected, and you will then
have to submit a new application.
You are responsible for
the accuracy of ALL the information you state in your application form. MYNIC
reserves the right to revoke the domain name at any time without prior written
notice to you should MYNIC find any of the information supplied in the form
to be incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate.
Please take note that
all information provided will be made publicly available through the MYNIC
Whois Service.
5.
Confirm your registration
Domain name application
forms are processed by MYNIC every working day of the week. Domain names are
registered on a 'first come, first served' basis. However, please note that
submission of application does not guarantee registration.
Once you have submitted your application form, your Administrative, Technical and Billing Contact will receive an immediate acknowledgement e-mail notice from MYNIC of the submission of your application. Note that only the Contact Persons listed in your application form will receive e-mail notification from MYNIC when the registration is completed.
- You must furnish your supporting documents to MYNIC within 14 days from the submission date.
- If your application is rejected, your rejection notice will come with a reason why it was rejected. If you want to apply again, you must go through the whole registration process from the start. Check out the FAQ for the most common reasons why applications are rejected.
Your domain name will be registered after MYNIC has received and checked the application and relevant supporting documents.

6.
Pay your fee
Successful Registrants
will be invoiced. You must pay all required fees to ensure your domain name
remains registered with MYNIC.
For domain names processed
by Resellers, Resellers are authorised to accept
registration fees on MYNIC's behalf.
